Unknown Fees For Credit Cards
Posted on May 28th, 2010 No commentsSearching for the right credit card with a no annual fee may be a little hard to find, before making that decision, find out what other charges may exist.
The only fee credit card companies will charge you is an annual fee. This fee will vary depending on the bank, their offer and what type of credit card it is.
No annual fee credit cards are just that. A credit card with the annual fee waived. As mentioned in a previous post, some cards are “fee free” for the life of the card, whilst others may only have their annual fee waived for the first year.
Some consumers are unaware that there may be charges made on a card for exceeding a set credit limit that you or the card issuer has set. Such a fee again is dependent on the issuer of the credit card. It would be wise to find out what this fee may be prior to applying for their card.
If you are making a cash withdrawal from an automatic teller machine there will be a small fee incurred if the atm is from another financial institution. Some people are not aware that an interest rate will also be added to your next statement from the time any cash withdrawal was made.
As stated earlier there are no other fees a credit card issuer can charge you other than an annual fee. Just be aware that using your card in the ways mentioned above could mean extra charges.
